Pamela’s Success Story!

Pamela JH shares her plant-based transformation online.
‘All my adult life, I have been 70- 110+ pounds overweight. My weight exacerbated my autoimmune disorders…’
After adopting a whole food, plant-based diet:
My fasting sugar became normal, my blood pressure became wonderful, and my cholesterol became “heart attack-proof.” My pulse is good, and my blood numbers (minerals and vitamins) are great.
Most importantly, now I can chase my kids and enjoy being a mom in a way I’ve never been able to before”.

Hi, I’m Josh, co-founder of WHOLE Inc. My journey into natural healing began at 16, when I was diagnosed with IBS and struggled with anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. Doctors gave me few answers, so I began searching for a better way.
What I found changed my life. Through a whole-food, plant-based diet, nature walks, and small but steady lifestyle changes, I lost 40 pounds, healed my gut, and discovered a way of living that gave me lasting energy, clarity, and peace of mind. That was over a decade ago, and I’ve never looked back.
I founded WHOLE to share these tools with others, especially those in midlife or retirement who want more than medications and fatigue. I’ve helped dozens of clients reduce weight, lower cholesterol and blood sugar, and regain a sense of control over their health.
I’m not here to push a diet—I’m here to help you reconnect with the vitality already inside you and the foods that heal. And I’d be honored to walk with you on that path.

Theory of Change
With a Master's of Public Health, Josh embraced the Integrated Health Belief Model as his preferred theory of change. This model of behavior explains why simply knowing a list of healthy foods is rarely enough for meaningful and sustainable lifestyle change. Factors that influence your ability to make healthy decisions include:
Feelings about a behavior
Behavioral beliefs
Social norms of “healthy”
Other people’s “health behaviors”
Perceived control
Self efficacy
While these six factors influence our intention to carry out the health behavior, additional pressures determine our health behavior even when we have healthy intentions. These outside influences include:
Knowledge and the skill to perform the behavior
Salience of the behavior
Environmental constraints
Habits
We understand that a healthy life is much more than knowing which foods are healthy and which promote disease. Our family, friends, community, city, and religious beliefs all tie together to weave a tapestry that can either promote health or promote disease. Unwinding those threads of ill-health takes time, effort, and difficult decisions. It helps to have guides like Josh and Stephanie who can show you the way toward a healthy diet and lifestyle by addressing each barrier and co-creating strategies with your input at every step.
Josh’s Before and After

A Successful Plant-Based Community Jumpstart in Macon, GA by Macon Beets
While in graduate school, Josh worked part-time as a Regional Manager. He oversaw 160 groups in 21 states that were making positive changes in their community. He supported leaders who supported 140,000 members collectively. After Graduation, Josh took on the role of Development Coordinator for PlantPure Communities (PPC). Together with PPC, he helped group leaders across the country carry out a 10-day plant-based jumpstart for over 200 people with remarkable success.
For example, in February 2022, Macon, Georgia, leaders Carol Kimsey and Gail Moulton led 31 people through a 10-day jumpstart. The average participant lost 4 lbs, dropped their cholesterol 16%, lowered triglycerides 17%, and blood glucose 10%.
When Josh visited the participants in person (see photo below), they told him they struggled to be 100% compliant, yet they still saw their blood pressure normalize and their blood readings improve. One man sat in the blood pressure machine, smiling and mentioning that he couldn’t remember the last time he had normal blood pressure, and that it had already normalized within 7 days of our program!
Josh was also reminded that bigger men need much more food than most people, and he was able to give them immediate advice on how to eat satiating meals that lead to health improvements.
While Josh enjoyed the many different roles he performed at PlantPure Communities, he is especially grateful to work one-on-one with people going through this life-changing transformation so that the program can be tailored directly to you as an individual.
“This jumpstart showed me that even when the participants doubted the program’s likelihood of success and even when they struggled with compliance, they still saw rapid improvement in just 10 days.”
-Josh Wayne MSW, MPH (top row third from right)
“When I transitioned to a whole food, plant-based diet, I found that I was able to enjoy more diversity and flavors than ever before. I have consumed over 250 species of native plants and mushrooms, and I continue to taste new and exciting foods on a daily basis.”

Guarantee - with commitment
We guarantee that you will lose weight if you follow our program with at least 80% compliance. Health outcomes depend on individual factors, including medical history, current health condition, and personal adherence to treatment. Those who start at a BMI of over 30 may experience temporarily increased cholesterol levels and higher blood levels of toxic pollutants (DeWailley et. al, 2000) while losing weight. Watch this video with 23 peer-reviewed citations explaining the initial jump in blood levels of cholesterol and pollutants. If you continue the program, the levels tend to decrease after they are flushed out of your body within 2-3 months. Program compliance means following the Dr. Greger Daily Dozen app and sending us daily photos of each meal, so we can monitor your food intake in real-time and work with you to make adjustments as needed.
